Problem Summary
Market Traders had a legacy Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud that was approaching end of life. Additionally, due to changes in corporate structure, there were duplicate customer databases in multiple legacy systems.
Action Plan
Start with why. Mapped existing table and database structure. Conducted interviews with sales, marketing, and executive staff. Led business analysts as they gathered business and functional requirements.
Ideation. Redeveloped object and table structure, mapped flows for GDPR, CAN-SPAM, TCPA compliance. Developed migration plan and timeline.
Test. Deduplicated portions of the data structure, and uploaded test records. Validated field structure, functions, and automations with a few accounts before expanding to the rest of the sales and marketing team.
Iterate. Reviewed functionality monthly with stakeholders, implemented changes as needed.
